Terms of Service & Clinical Agreement
Effective Date: October 7, 2026. Please read these terms carefully before accessing or using Matryz.
MATRYZ IS A SUPPORT TOOL FOR SELF-TRACKING AND PSYCHOMETRICS, AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE MEDICAL ADVICE, PSYCHIATRIC DIAGNOSIS, OR CLINICAL TREATMENT. The standardized psychometric evaluations (such as PHQ-9, GAD-7, OASIS, ODSIS, BDI-II, BAI, HDRS, DASS-21, STAI, SCL-90-R, MMPI-2-RF), emotional micro-check-ins, and generated reports are designed solely as personal self-monitoring aids and consultation support materials for licensed healthcare professionals (psychologists, psychiatrists, and physicians).
NO EMERGENCY SERVICES STATEMENT: Matryz does not provide real-time crisis intervention or active clinical monitoring. If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm, suicidal ideation, or an acute medical or psychological emergency, DO NOT RELY ON THIS APPLICATION and immediately contact local emergency resources:
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, registering an account, initiating an anonymous session, or accessing Matryz services (via the mobile application or matryz.com), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these terms, you must refrain from using the software and uninstall the application from your devices.
2. Minimum Age Requirement (18 Years Old)
To create an account and utilize Matryz services, users must be at least 18 years of age. By accessing Matryz, you expressly represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and possess full legal capacity to enter into this binding agreement.
This restriction is strictly aligned with our content rating declarations across the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
3. Subscription Conditions, Free Trial & App Store Billing
Matryz operates under a transparent subscription model engineered to sustain an environment free of advertisements and data brokers:
- 14-Day Full-Access Free Trial: Every new user receives a 14-day free trial with unconstrained access to all 11 standardized clinical psychometric batteries, unlimited emotional micro-check-ins, and clinician-ready longitudinal PDF exports.
- Billing, Renewals & Cancellations Managed Exclusively by Apple and Google: Subscription purchasing, payment processing, recurrent billing, automatic renewals, and cancellation requests are processed and governed exclusively through the official terms and conditions of Apple Inc. (Apple App Store) or Google LLC (Google Play Store), depending on your device platform. Matryz does not collect, process, or store credit card numbers.
- Cancellation & Post-Trial State: You may cancel auto-renewal at any time through the subscription settings of your Apple ID or Google Play account. If you elect not to subscribe following the 14-day trial, active data entry will pause, but your pre-existing historical records remain intact and fully exportable at zero cost.
4. Clinical Instruments & Intellectual Property
The standardized psychometric instruments implemented in Matryz (including PHQ-9, GAD-7, OASIS, ODSIS, BDI-II, BAI, HDRS, DASS-21, STAI, SCL-90-R, MMPI-2-RF) are administered for screening and self-monitoring in compliance with recognized academic citations. All software code, scoring algorithms, UI designs, trademarks, and branding remain the exclusive intellectual property of Barnasoba.
5. User Responsibilities & Data Ownership
You retain 100% legal ownership of your logged emotional records, catharsis reflections, and clinical test history. You agree to use Matryz only for lawful purposes, keep your device and access credentials secure, and refrain from attempting to reverse-engineer or compromise our cryptographic isolation protocols.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither Barnasoba nor its developers, directors, or clinicians shall be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from: (a) self-interpretation of test metrics or health decisions made without licensed professional supervision; (b) temporary service interruptions; or (c) relying on the software during an acute crisis contrary to the explicit disclaimers stated herein.
7. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. Any dispute or litigation arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Barcelona (Spain).
The foregoing is without prejudice to mandatory statutory consumer protection laws that apply in the user's country or state of habitual residence (European Union, United States, or Latin America).
